This custom designed home boasts old world charm, but with all the modern amenities. Spend the day at the beach, then stroll back and relax in one of our courtyards. We know you'll dream about this space for years to come after you've created some of your best memories here.
Luxury Amenities
Walk through the ground level front courtyard to enter the home. You'll enter into a spacious living area with plenty of seating, SmartTV, and fireplace. Two opposing sets of French doors in the room lead to separate courtyards. There's a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar island seating. With plenty of counter space, the kitchen offers full sized stainless steel appliances, dishes, cookware, and Keurig coffee maker. Full sized laundry units and walk-in pantry are located in the rear of the kitchen. A formal dining room sits just off the kitchen facing the front courtyard.
There's a bedroom located downstairs with four (4) twin sized bunk beds, SmartTV, board games, books and full closet space. This room has an en-suite bathroom - tub shower, toilet and wash room.
Three more bedrooms are upstairs. The primary suite has its own retreat area with fireplace, private deck with lagoon views, and lavish bathroom with soaking tub next to fireplace, and custom walk-in closet. Next to the King sized bed, sits a sleeper sofa. It's perfect for a family with children wanting to crash near their parents. The second floor shows off the luxurious finishes, beautiful vaulted wood beam ceilings and Brazilian Kao wood floors.
Located down the hall are two other bedrooms. Each room has queen sized beds, full closets, SmartTVs and charging stations. Between the rooms sits a full sized bathroom with soaking tub.
Back on the ground level, toward the rear of the home is another courtyard with seating. An outdoor shower is available to use after a long day at the beach to wash away sand and salt water. A three burner BBQ grill sits off of the rear courtyard. Lastly, the entire Saint Malo Beach community is located near the Coaster/ Pacific Surfliner train track. Guests may hear train noise during the day and night.

Our family has vacationed at Saint Malo Beach for years and we've always dreamed of owning our own little piece of paradise in the area!
Chateau Saint Malo Beach is that dream come to life. There's a lot of love and care put into the home to make it a wonderful place for a family getaway. We love this small beach community! Relax in the ideal Southern California climate, and listen for breaking waves! The Saint Malo Beach community is one of a kind.
The home is a 3 minute stroll to the beach and the neighborhood is perfect for morning and evening walks or bike rides. We're excited to make more family memories and we are happy to share Chateau Saint Malo Beach with you to create your own memories as well. This home is beautiful and comfortable in every way. A treasure of a place to vacation! The neighborhood even felt like a story book. We loved our walks to the private beach and enjoyed playing pickleball right across the street. We played card games in the evenings at the large dining table. It was all so memorable and magical. Our host Nick was fantastic too, and we felt very well taken care of …Thank you!! We loved our stay and plan to go back someday.

This house is simply gorgeous!!! We stayed for three nights with our two son’s, celebrating our youngest 30th birthday who came in from Australia with his girlfriend. The St. Malo private gated community is like something out of a fairytale. The house is walking distance from the beach and at the end of a cul-de-sac, very private. The house had everything that we never had to leave. I was able to make all our meals even a BBQ for Father’s Day. We were able to play tennis and pickle ball the house has lots of sports equipment along with lots of beach chairs and umbrellas. The washer/dryer came in handy to wash our clothes before going home. The master bedroom is so charming with a fireplace and large bathroom and walking closet. The bottom part of the home has A/C that kept the house very cool. The bedrooms upstairs all have ceiling fans and all the french doors have screens so you can sleep with the doors open and let the ocean breeze in. Check-in and check-out were easy. There’s a beautiful coffee table book about St. Malo that I read from beginning to end, on the history of this enchanted place. We fell in love with St. Malo Beach that we are scheduling a trip in 2024 to St. Malo in France. We will definitely be returning here.

From booking to checkout, the hosts were amazing. The property is nestled in a French-village style gated community right on the beach. The property was even more beautiful and accommodating than the listing and it exceeded our expectations in every way. We were able to house ages 9 through 75 with ease. Everyone could have their own space and could easily walk to the beach, play volleyball, play tennis or walk through the neighborhoods. There were also many walkable shops and restaurants within a mile of our place. We would definitely rent again from this host and stay at this property again. Thank you!

My sister and I took our Mother for her 80th birthday for 4 days to stay at Chateau St.Malo.
This area is unique and felt like we had traveled to somewhere far away but it was less than an hour from our homes.
The house had everything we wanted! The kitchen is clean and has high end appliances. The refrigerator was sparkling-it looked brand new! Every pan, bowl, and utensil we needed was there and great quality.
We really enjoyed the grand fireplace in the living room and spent a lot of time on the big cozy couches.
Our mother stayed in the beautiful primary suite and she was delighted with it! The bedroom is large and the fireplace was great! The bathtub is awesome! She was very happy!
The other rooms and bathrooms were also clean and comfortable.
The decor is beachy and upscale!

Our group of 3 couples enjoyed a Friday through Sunday stay and each wanted to provide their perspective....
1: As soon as the gates opened, the charm of the French Normandy inspired community makes you feel like you’ve traveled to a faraway vacation getaway. Every amenity in the home (high end bedding, hotel-like bathrooms, updated kitchen) has been thoughtfully provided for your comfort & pleasure.
2: The property was a beautiful & relaxing atmosphere all around. Even though it rained, we loved that the tennis courts, pickle ball court & horse shoes were right outside. The Beach was a short walk & it was peaceful walking thru the neighborhood to get to it. We ordered in and had no issues getting our delivery to the house.
3: We are regular Airbnb travelers & would rate the Chateau Saint Malo home as one of the nicest, best located, & real value of a luxury home of all the places we have stayed. We would highly recommend this wonderful home ~ it far exceeded our expectations!

The house was as promised. The hosts were very responsive, returning texts within 30 minutes.
Well appointed kitchen (by golly, zip lock bags/plastic wrap/tin foil!) features plenty of counter space to prepare gourmet meals. There were all the usual cleaning supplies - towels, spritzes and sprays - and even
a few office supplies!
The bathrooms were outfitted with fluffy white towels, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Each of the bedrooms were comfortable and roomy, with Smart TVs in each. The main living area had comfy sofas and Netflix on the 55" flat screen.
There are three outside sitting areas to enjoy the fresh ocean air. The house was easy to find, plenty of parking, and the security guards at the gate were beyond helpful. The 'beach' is a short walk from the house.

Beautiful property!! It's very clean and is spacious enough for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. Quiet community. This is a well-designed French country-style home with a high a-frame living room ceiling and an incredibly huge master bedroom. Property sits at the end of a cul-de-sac - great for kids and parking. It's a short walk to the beachfront that has a volleyball court and a cabana area which serves as a lounging area to watch the sun set. One area of concern we initially had was the train tracks just behind the property. This is not particularly bothersome since passing trains are quite short and not that frequent, noise level is really low. No biggie. Kitchen is well-stocked with most everything you'll need to cook and serve big meals. This place has first-class amenities that made our stay super-comfortable and relaxing. We wanted to book this place again for Christmas but it's already been taken! Shout out to Nick Foster (owner of Haustay) for being very responsive to our inquiries and needs.

I just had the most fantastic trip to Chateau Saint Malo Beach. It was the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. The Chateau is light, airy, spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed sitting out on the front patio listening to the ocean while enjoying my morning coffee. In the evening, the patio firepit provided an excellent atmosphere for conversation and laughter as we reviewed the day’s events.
The Saint Malo Beach area is beautiful, clean and exclusive. There is a coded restroom for residents and visitors. One may stroll either direction on the beach, toward the Oceanside Pier or Carlsbad Village. The water was perfect for a fall swim in the waves.
Chateau Saint Malo Beach is a stone’s throw away from delicious restaurants and fun boutiques in Carlsbad Village. If I don’t want to get on my bike or make the 10-minute drive there, I can simply walk a short distance to the shops and food choices.
While I love fresh air, I appreciated that this Chateau offered air conditioning. We did not need to use this perk in October but when we return next summer, it will be a luxury we may choose to use if needed.
I highly recommend taking a long vacation or extended weekend away to Chateau Saint Malo Beach, located in the personnel guarded gate community of St. Malo Beach. Whether your cup of tea is relaxation on the beach, water sports, drinks at sunset, or adventures within San Diego County, this Chateau offers the best place to lay your head at night. Enjoy!

The Saint Malo gated community is a gem of Oceanside and the best way to describe the architecture of each home is English charm. Your home boasts EVERY imaginable amenity ~ from the luxurious bathrobes, charging stations in each bedroom, linen closets overflowing with extra towels, fire pit, BBQ, beach chairs, and the fully stocked kitchen….no detail small or large was overlooked. And did I mention the decor?! You truly feel the relaxing beach vibe with every painting and mermaid lamp. My favorite was our walks along the beach at sunrise & sunset watching the dolphins~ only 2 minutes to get to the ocean from your front door. Loved our girls weekend together & Cheers to the birthday girl! @LisaW 😉

We had such a lovely time at Chateau Saint Malo. The area is really unique. It is very charming and the house was beautiful. It was very clean inside and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with nice dishes and utensils and everything we needed. The quality of everything was so much nicer than typical short term rentals. These people have thought of everything you need! The house is a short easy/walk to the sand and the beach was perfect to watch the sunset! We loved everything about this place and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!
